My Weekly Love | Benefit Powders

As many of you may have seen, last month my friends and I had a lovely day at Old Spitalfields where we all had a lovely time in the Benefit Boutique. Whilst we were in there we all decided to redeem our voucher for the lesson against some of their beautiful products. I decided to purchase the hoola bronzer and the CORALista blusher and highlighter.
I have been absolutely loving both of these powders, and they both compliment themselves beautifully.

Hoola is a beautiful matte bronzer in such a natural shade. The pigmentation is brilliant meaning you will only need a small amount of the product, consequently the product should last ages! The really cute pot comes with a handy brush which is great to use under the cheekbones. Hoola is just a great bronzer to sculpt your face, by contouring, naturally.

Coralista is a gorgeous blusher that looks great with my complexion. I love the coral colour (hence the name) and there is a beautiful shimmer through the powder, so there is no need to apply a highlighter on top. I am not a huge blusher person, but this powder is amazing.

Sanctuary Spa Haul

Recently I have been kindly given a few Sanctuary Spa items that smell gorgeous. I have never really owned lots of Sanctuary Spa products, my house usually has lots of Baylis and Harding items, so I was excited to use this products. I must say, out of this range items, my favourite product is the Feather-Light Moisture Spray, and my favourite fragrance is the White Lily & Damask Rose.

The first set in this haul is my White Lily & Damask fragrance. In the set I have the body wash and body scrub. The floral scent is sweet and refreshing and the body wash is moisturising and cleansing on the skin. The scrub is great for the skin as it is a delicate exfoliate so it is not too harsh on your body.

The second with the fragrance Green Lemon & Orange Blossom includes products such as body scrub, body lotion and body wash. Similar to the White Lily and Damask Rose body wash and scrub, they are great for your skin. The fragrance of this set is more tangy and zesty, due to the orange extract. The body lotion instantly moisturises my skin leaving it feeling soft and smooth. I think the smell is great especially in the morning due to it's refreshing aroma!

The Moisture Rich Foot Butter is just what you want in a foot butter! A fresh, zesty scent with super rich moisturising properties. It leaves my feet feeling and smelling gorgeous, especially after a hard day working, shopping or at school.

The Feather-Light Moisture Spray is a super lightweight spray and a great way to pick up and replenish your skin quickly and easily. A few spritz of this product will rejuvenate your skin and leave it with a lovely glowing sheen.

What are your favourite Sanctuary Spa products?

London Shopping and Wagamama

Last Thursday my friends and I decided to head up London. Originally we planned to head up to China Town as it was Chinese New Year - Happy Lunar New Year Everyone! - but it started to rain - typical Britain. Instead we decided to do some good old shopping, so we headed up to Oxford Street.
We went into one of our favourite shops, Topshop.

Topshop at Oxford Street is AMAZING! The store is huge with loads of great areas, stalls and stands. Inside there is a Lola Cupcakes stand and a Bubbleology stall. It was super busy! There are so many different clothing items, shoes, bags and so much more.
As my friends and I were in there we couldn't help but use the photobooth. The problem was that we underestimated the size of the booth and realised it was way to small to fit in 5 people. Although we tried our best and all squeezed in. From the photo on the left you can see we couldn't tell when the flash went off haha!

After London shopping we were getting peckish so we jumped on the tube to Charing Cross, where we went to Wagamama along the South Bank. I love Wagamama and I ordered, along with two of my friends, the Yaki Udon. It was so fresh and delicious, and my friends and I think it's such great value for money.

I love London of a night, it is so beautiful!

What a lovely day!

My Weekly Love | The Primrose Bakery Book

This week it's been half term and I've tried to do some more baking. A while ago I was kindly given this beautiful book for my birthday and I love it. I own quite a few baking books, but this one is by far my favourite. The Primrose Bakery was set up by two lovely ladies with a passion for baking and it's become very popular. The Primrose Bakery can be found in Primrose Hill or Covent Garden, London.

The pages are beautiful with cute pastel colours and girly fonts. The pictures are gorgeous with pages of delicious bakes to try.
I decided to show you one of my favourite recipes from the book.

Melting Moments

For Biscuits
200g unsalted butter, softened
190g icing sugar, plus more for dusting
155g plain flour
140g cornflour
1/2 tsp baking powder

For The Filling
2 tbsp custard powder
100g unsalted butter, at room temperature
150g icing sugar, sifted
2-3 tbsp water

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius/gas mark 4. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
For the biscuits, sift all the dry ingredients together in a bowl, add the butter and mix well with an electric hand mixer.
Using your hands, roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into about 24 small balls. Place the balls on the baking trays, leaving a space of about 5cm between each one. Gently press down on the top of each biscuit with a fork to flatten them so they are almost doubled in size.
Bake for about 9 minutes, until they are a light golden brown. Don't overcook them or they will become too crispy.
For the custard filling, mix the custard powder, butter and icing sugar in a bowl, using an electric hand mixer, and gradually add the water until the desired spreading consistency is reached.
Using an icing spatula or flat-edged knife, spread a small amount of icing on the flat side of a biscuit and sandwich together with another biscuit. Repeat with the remaining biscuits and dust with icing sugar, to finish.
These are best eaten on the same day they are baked, but will keep for 2-3 days in an airtight tin or wrapped in clingfilm and stored at room temperature.

Em & Lou's Kitchen | Beckenham

Such a beautiful, little cafe!
Yesterday, I had a lovely day out with my auntie. As we were out and about down Beckenham high street we started to get peckish, and we stumbled across a cute little cafe...Em & Lou's Kitchen.
From the outside the cafe was super cute, with rustic wooden tables and chairs, and gorgeous mirrors.

It was about 3'o'clock so we decided to pick a lunch/dinner meal. I went for one of their specials which was a Penne Paesana, my auntie did also. It was delicious, so french and tasty. As always I ordered a tap water, but my auntie ordered a pressed apple juice which was so tangy and zingy.
I glanced over at the cakes and they looked amazing. Everything looks so homemade and appetizing.

The value of the food is great, and the service is very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this lovely, little cafe if you are ever in Beckenham or nearby.

What I Miss About Summer

We're coming to the end of the winter months.
Cadbury's Creme Eggs are appearing in all shops, which could only mean one thing, Spring is coming! During Spring we have warmer weather on the lead up to Summer. I can't wait for summer! I am in Year 11 at the moment which means this summer is extra long, and my friends and I have begun planning for the holidays. Today, I have decided to write about the things I miss about the beautiful summer, as we are still in the dark months of Winter.

Lighter Evenings
Dark nights make me so lazy. As soon as it gets dark my body switches into 'I can't be bothered' mode, which is not great during the revision period at school. Also, I have become really tired, and can even be found going to bed at around 8.30pm!

Holidays
No school, no work, no exams, no revision, no homework...pure bliss.

Clothing
Goodbye coats, jackets, uncomfortable tights and gloves, hello dresses, shorts and flip flops. The feeling of not having to yank up another pair of tights, or struggle to find the other matching sock; just simple, light summer clothes.

Festivals
Last year I went to see the Arctic Monkeys live in April, and they were amazing! I have never been to a festival though, and would love love love to go! Looks like my friends and I need to start saving.

The Sun
Where has it been hiding? I am waiting for it to appear again in all it's glory. Who doesn't love to feel warm all the time?

 Beach
The beach is such an amazing place, that everyone must go to at least once a summer. My family have a caravan in the Kent harbour town of Whitstable, and I love it there. In the summer the town comes to life with markets, parades, live music, and of course the beach. If you are brave enough, take a dip in the sea!

 Tan
Not that I tan easily anyway, but my skin looks so much healthier which a little glow. I have tried fake bakes in the past, but you can't beat a natural tone. If anyone has any recommendations for a good fake tan, I am open for suggestions!

What do you miss about summer?

Beautiful Benefit & Spitalfields

What an amazing day!
On Saturday, my friends and I booked in for a makeup lesson at Benefit, Spitalfields.
We were all very excited and headed off early. It turned out that Benefit, at Old Spitalfields, was harder to find then we first thought. After asking many people in the area for directions, we turned to trusty google maps, and we got there only ten minutes late.
The ladies in benefit were lovely, and so so friendly. We had an amazing time learning about their products, and makeup tips, while simultaneously making our faces look beautiful!

With our beautifully made up faces, we decided to go out for dinner. Giraffe was our choice, and a very yummy one too! I ordered the 'Rodeo Burger' with sweet potato fries, I dissembled my burger before I remembered to take a photo, but my friend's risotto looked delicious!

The day ended after having a look around Brick Lane, and Old Spitalfields Market. What a lovely day!

Products used on my face

Outfit
Pale Pink Coat - Forever 21
Monochrome Top - Zara
Black High Waisted Jeans - Topshop
Black Converse
Necklace - Tiffany&Co
Earrings - Primark

My Weekly Love | Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

I have been having problems with my makeup staying on all day recently, especially when the elements have recently been attacking me! I have tried using a primer, the porefessional, which I think has helped quite a bit, but I really needed something else. My friend recently bought me this solution, and I love it! The Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray is an oil free, light-weight spray with no parabens. This spray doesn't dry out, crack or ruin my makeup, and it lasts a long time!
My solution to perfect makeup all day long.

*Arbonne Beauty Products

Have you heard of Arbonne?
They're an amazing 35 year old Health and Wellness Company originating from Switzerland. All of their products are formulated without parabens, chemicals, fragrances or mineral oil. To all the vegans out there, the products are not tested on animals, and they do not contain any animal by-products, even the packaging uses vegetable ink!

''Arbonne is a place where ordinary people do extraordinary things everyday to enhance not only their lives, but also the lives of so many others.''
Petter Morck - Founder

I believe this company, and what they stand for, is inspirational and I couldn't wait to try out their products!
The first product I tried was the FC5 Hydrating Eye Creme. The smell was immediately so fresh due to it containing kiwi cell extracts. After applying for three days I saw a difference in my eyes. It had minimized dark circles, leaving my eyes looking brighter and healthier.

The second product I tried was one of their bestsellers, the Cellular Renewal Masque. This product can be smoothly applied and used to improve the appearance of your skin. After using this product twice, my face seemed to glow and became healthier. This product picked up my skin by making it look smooth and plumped.

The final product I tried was the Rejuvenating Cream. It's botanical, herbal scent was gorgeous and similarly to the Cellular Renewal Masque, it plumped my skin leaving it silky smooth and moisturised.

The products by Arbonne are pricey but the results are amazing. With such great quality and morals, these products are certainly worth it.

January Favourites

Happy February Everyone!
Where has January gone? One month into the year already! Anyway here are my favourite things from last month...

Beauty & Skincare

The Birchbox Subscription
This is my first beauty box subscription and I love it! Last month's box was inspired by Women's Health Magazine and it was wonderful. Beauty box subscriptions are such a lovely idea and I always look forward to my box each month. Here are a few others you could check out...

Naked Basics
This is my first Naked palette and it's amazing! I love all the colours and I can wear them for and to anything.

Hair

Label.M Hair Perfume
This product is so great, doubling up as both a hair and body perfume, and smells gorgeous! It leaves my hair not only smelling beautiful but looking, and feeling so soft and shiny.

Music

Catfish and Bottlemen
I stumbled across this band on Spotify and fell in love with their songs. I know a few of my friends love them too! My favourite songs off their album are
Homesick
Kathleen
Cocoon

Food

American Pancakes
This month I have fallen in love with the idea of these beauties as a dessert with maple syrup and ice cream...yummmm.

Giraffe
For my friend's 16th birthday, a few of my closest friends and I went to the Southbank and had dinner in Giraffe. It was the first time I had been in there and it was so amazing. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with a pomegranate juice and it was so delicious! I totally recommend it!

Apps

Pinterest
I have re-found my love for Pinterest and have been pinning all sorts of pins, from recipes, fashion, bucket list and beauty! If you don't follow me already on Pinterest my link is below...

Clothes & Accessories

Links
For my 16th Birthday I was kindly given a Links golden bracelet from my Nana and I have been wearing it so much. It is a gorgeous glittery bracelet, that is beautiful and simple.

High Waisted Black Jeans from Topshop
These are the best jeans I have ever come across. I hate it when skinny jeans bag around the knees and ankles, but these jeans are great at keeping their shape. One thing I would say about these jeans is that, because I wear them so much, they tend to loose their colour. The beginning of this month I decided to re-dye them black, and they came out better than new. I was really happy!

Films

Old Classics
This month I have been watching loads of old classics, and I love them! These classics include Grease, Back to the Future (1,2 and 3), Footloose and Dirty Dancing.

Magazine

Glamour
My favourite magazine this month has been Glamour. For my birthday I was given a subscription and it's amazing! January's issue was really good, especially the Beauty Flash section!

Another month over...
What have been your January favourites?
